Archie "Joe" Biggers, President
Mr. Biggers has an extensive military and non-profit background, as well as serving in the criminal justice system for both adults and adolescents for many years. Retiring as a Lt. Col. after a 24 year career as U.S Marine, Mr Biggers brings a wealth of national and international experience, and a commitment to non-profits. Mr Biggers joined the board in 2009.

Jane Giatras , Vice President
Ms. Giatras is a human resources professional with extensive experience throughout Southern California. Ms. Giatras joined the board in 2009.

John Cleary, Esq., Treasurer
Mr. Cleary is a local attorney with diverse legal experience in California and the midwest region of the U.S. Mr. Cleary joined the McAlister Institute board in 2008.

Randy Doll, Director
Mr. Doll has served on the McAlister Institute board since 2002, and is a businessman working in outside sales for a major corporation in San Diego County.

Jeanie Emigh, Director
Ms. Emigh is retired from the San Diego County Probation Department and has worked in the field of substance abuse recovery for over 30 years. She has developed drug and alcohol education and counseling programs for both juveniles and adults. Continuing to work toward the goal of bringing quality treatment to those in need is Ms. Emigh’s goal on the board. She joined the board in 2004.

Mike Franz, Director
Mr. Franz is the former employee of McAlister Institute and has over 25 years of experience working in the substance abuse treatment and recovery field. Upon his retirement, he became an entrepreneur and now runs a small business, while continuing to support McAlister Institute's mission and services. Mr. Franz joined the board in 2010.

R. Scott Hoover, Director
Mr. Hoover is a businessman with extensive experience in the real estate and finance. He is dedicated to serving those in recovery. Mr. Hoover joined the board in 2010.

Tarkus Mossberg, Director
Mr. Mossberg is a business owner with experience in finance, health insurance brokerage firm, purchasing and 21 years of experience in the alcohol recovery community. He brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the board. Mr. Tarkus joined the board in 2010.

Larry Mulvaney, Director
Mr. Mulvaney is a local businessman and computer professional who currently works with a local energy company. Mr. Mulvaney joined the McAlister Institute board in 2008.

Leonard Pool, Director
Leonard Pool is CEO of an electronic engineering company who also served in the military. He has worked in medical electronics, defense electronics, maritime navigation, and communication. He brings a wealth of experience and talent to the board, which he joined in 2009.

Mayra Vasquez, Director
Mayra Vasquez is a psychologist with the Ramona school district. Ms. Vasquez Joined the board in 2009
