We rely on your generosity to meet our mission of help and hope in the face of recovery. We carry the message of hope to thousands of individuals and businesses throughout our community.

Our true rewards come in the form of healed lives, renewed families, spiritual and emotional growth, and the productivity those in recovery can contribute to society as a whole. We would like to thank the state, county, and city government agencies, private enterprises and corporations, and the individuals who have contributed to our work in the past 32 years for their effort and generosity.

Sponsor-a-Bed Program

Sponsor-a-bed program allows a teen or adult in need of intervention services to stay at one of our programs through the donation you make. It cost over $5,000 per month for a teen or adult to receive wrap around services at one of our group homes. 97% of all referred teens and adults cannot afford to pay the sliding scale amount. Therefore, support of our community is greatly appreciated. If you are interested in sponsoring a bed for a teen or adult please contact us at 619-442-0277 ext. 106 for more details.

Sponsor-a-Meal Program

Donate a warm holiday meal to our women and children's program. Your donation goes far in ensuring that our women and children enjoy a happy holiday with each other while receiving services at Kiva. $100 hundred dollars will help several families to enjoy a nice warm holiday dinner. Third Party Fundraisers

This is the perfect option for those groups who are unable to help as a volunteer but want to do something for McAlister Institute. The possibilities are endless - hold a food or clothing drive, collect cash from a garage sale day, car wash, collection canister, gather items from the wish list, designate a portion of sales, etc. If you are interested in organizing a fundraiser for McAlister Institute, please contact us at 619-442-0277ext. 106 for more details.
